In the Test Kitchen: Brownies

No, we haven’t forgotten about you.  We’re just busy in the test kitchen trying and modifying different brownie recipes.  Sure, you can make great brownies from a box, but our goal is to achieve that Ghirardellian nirvana from scratch.

In the meantime, if you have a favorite brownie recipe, please share it with us.  And, tell us what you prefer in a brownie texture: cakey, fudgy, or chewy??

See you soon!

I prefer somewhere between chewy and fudgy with nuts and carmel goodness!

  4. Laya says:

Chewy! With nuts, because I’m not the biggest chocolate person, so the nuts kind of break up the chocolatey-ness.

  5. Chewy actualizes MU!

  6. Beautiful! I love your recipe and your photography. 🙂

  7. No you can’t make great brownies from a box! Lovely post though. My wife just did one on the LA Times midnight brownie bites. The recipe’s from 2008 and is just awesome. We like really moist brownies and these fit the bill.
